Letter: Socialist Sanders isn’t right choice

The Democratic Party caucuses of Washington state have chosen Bernie Sanders, an avowed socialist, as their choice for president of the USA, thus choosing socialism as their preferred future economic system for the U.S. I want to share quotes from Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher defining socialism.

Churchill wrote, “Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.” He also said, “The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”

Thatcher wrote, “The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”

Are the Washington state Democrats failed thinkers, ignorant, or just envious?
