A 16-year-old Washougal girl was hospitalized following a rollover crash on the ramp from Interstate 5 to state Highway 14 late Friday afternoon.

The Washington State Patrol said Summer G. Lindsay was turning from I-5 southbound onto Highway 14 heading east around 4:30 p.m. when her pickup went out of control. The pickup went through a grassy median, struck a light pole then rolled before crossing the eastbound lanes of the highway and finally coming to a stop high-centered on the center road barrier, state patrol said.

Lindsay was injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, state patrol said. Her condition was not available. State patrol said she wore a seat belt, and there were no passengers in the vehicle.

Excessive speed led to the crash, according to the state patrol, and she was cited for speeding.

Her pickup sustained moderate damage and was towed.
