A Ridgefield man was arrested on suspicion of sex abuse at the Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival in Brownsville, Ore., according to the Linn County (Ore.) Sheriff’s Office.

A 20-year-old Albany, Ore., woman at the festival reported that she and a friend left the concert Saturday night with Jeremy Russell Janssen, 37, of Ridgefield and went to his campsite. The woman told deputies that after falling asleep there, she woke up to Janssen sexually assaulting her, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

The woman reported the incident to deputies at about 8 a.m. Sunday. Janssen was arrested on suspicion of first-degree sex abuse and taken to the Linn County Jail, the sheriff’s office said.

It was the second sexual assault reported overnight Saturday at the music festival, police said.
