Girls basketball: Hockinson 67, Battle Ground 39

Balanced scoring and accuracy at the free throw line led the Hawks to a road win.

Four of five Hawks starters scored in double figures. The starters also went 20 for 20 from the free throw line as Hockinson (2-0) didn’t miss a foul shot until the fourth quarter.

“Our starters killed it tonight,” Hockinson coach Damon Roche said.

Brittany McGuire had 16 points, seven steals and eight rebounds. Emma Dietel scored 15 points, Grace Russell had 12 and Payton Wangler added 11.

Morgan Stradley scored 15 points to lead Battle Ground (0-3).
