Vancouver – The community is invited to attend the upcoming Maker Fair at Vancouver iTech Preparatory.

Participants will use science, technology, engineering, the arts and math — known as STEM — to create custom ornaments. Participants may modify existing templates or create their own designs.

The first 300 participants can add embedded blinking lights to their ornaments.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Jim Parsley Community Center at 2901 Falk Road in Vancouver.

The event is free and open the public, but participants are encouraged to make donations of canned food.

Participants are asked to RSVP at http://bit.ly/itechmakerfair or by emailing iTech Outreach Coordinator Natalie Powell at natalie.powell@vansd.org.
