Vancouver – LifePoint Church will provide 1,500 meals to 200 Evergreen Public Schools families over the holiday break.

The church works with the district every year to provide meals to families whose children normally receive free and reduced price lunches. This year, LifePoint worked with school counselors to identify families in need and provide food boxes containing two weeks of food, including bread, oatmeal, canned goods, pasta, rice and peanut butter.

“For students and families who rely solely on the lunches their school provides and the food pantries at their local school, the winter break is a very difficult time,” said Courtney Huskisson, a spokeswoman for the church.
