When you compare deaths caused by firearms in the United States to Australia, I think you will see that Ken Spring’s Jan. 26 letter, “Beware gun-control measures,” makes a point for the opposition.
Also, I have to rebut Joseph Massie’s letter “Wake up to protect civilization,” promoting British historian Arnold Toynbee’s view of history. It is a largely discredited 12-volume tome often referred to as “Philosophy of Mishmash.”
