Girls basketball: Black Hills 65, Woodland 37

Black Hills put its offense in gear with about three minutes to play in the first half and didn’t look back in winning the first round game of the District 4 2A tournament.

Black Hills (18-3) led 25-21 and then Lindsey Nurmi scored eight points in the final three minutes of the first half. She finished with 25 points and made seven 3-pointers.

Jessica Flanagan lead Woodland (10-11) in scoring with 12 points.

“We moved the ball well, just missed some easy looks,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said.

The Beavers face Centralia on Monday at Mark Morris High in a loser-out game.
