Letter: Reject Madore and puppets

How much more money is Clark County Councilor David Madore going to cost taxpayers?

First, there was $250,000 when he and his puppet, Councilor Tom Mielke, gave a Clark County job to an unqualified Don Benton.

Next, another $100,000 to find that Madore’s continued belittlement of county staff was nothing but bullying. And let’s not forget the federal money we lost when he launched his “no tolls” campaign against a replacement I-5 bridge. Wake up and smell the asphalt, Madore. The bridge will be paid for by tolls, as it should be. Those who use it, pay for it.

Now Mielke has the nerve to file recall petitions against the other councilors — people we elected specifically to counter the manipulation that Madore and Mielke have thrived on for the last four years.

Voters should stand up to Madore’s bullying and rampant self-interest, and send him packing. And likewise Eileen Quiring, the woman he is supporting for Mielke’s position. We’ve had enough Madore puppets.
