CAMAS — Two teams from Clark County are among 10 teams competing in the Babe Ruth Baseball 15-year-olds Pacific Northwest Regional Tournament this week at Louis Bloch Park in Camas.

Hazel Dell Metro is the Southern Washington champion and Camas-Washougal is the host team for the tournament that will send its champion to the Babe Ruth Baseball 15-year-old World Series.

Pool play begins today and runs through Saturday. Games are scheduled daily at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The semifinals and championship game will be played on Sunday.

Admission is free for spectators.

Hazel Dell Metro of Vancouver is in a pool with Kelso, North Bend (Southern Oregon), Latah County (Idaho) and Riverton, Wyo. Kelso, the Southern Washington runner up, is in this tournament because British Columbia did not send a team.

Hazel Dell Metro’s roster includes some of the players who played on the Metro team that went to the 2014 Babe Ruth World Series for 14-year-olds. Metro’s pool games are at 4 p.m. Wednesday, 4 p.m. Thursday, 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday.

Camas-Washougal’s pool includes teams representing Ephrata (Northern Washington), The Dalles (Northern Oregon), Glacier (Montana) and Calgary (Alberta). The host team plays at 7 p.m. Wednesday, 7 p.m. Thursday, 4 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday.

Louis Bloch Park is at the intersection of East Joy and Third streets in Camas.
