Letter: Green not part of my party

After reading the July 7 letter “Support Blom, McDaniel,” co-signed by Julie Olson, Republican and Chuck Green, Democrat, wherein they endorsed John Blom and Jennifer McDaniel for Clark County council, as a real Democrat, I would like to personally disavow Chuck Green.

Green, in his failed run for county council last election, used the resources, support and good faith of the Democratic party to validate his candidacy, even as he supported the “no party preference” candidate for county chair over the highly capable and well-qualified Democrat candidate, Mike Delasandro.

Up to the same shenanigans, he’s now publicly endorsed the above-referenced candidates over the amazing Democratic candidates, Tanisha Harris, Pos. 3, and Roman Battan, Pos. 4.

Green, in my opinion, is a flea that will jump on any dog’s back and suck the blood out of them until a dog of a different breed comes by and he jumps on that one. It’s time for Green to officially jump the fence, come out of the closet and admit that he’s a Republican. No shame in that. But I don’t want him using my team’s name.
