A Vancouver man was injured Saturday in a hit-and-run crash on state Highway 503 east of Woodland, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash occurred at 5:29 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 503 and Butte Hill Road, according to a WSP bulletin. Alfredo F. Vega Rodriguez, 39, was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta south on the highway when he slowed for traffic and was struck from behind by a 1997 Chrysler Sebring convertible.

The driver of the convertible left the scene before police arrived.
