Educational Opportunities for Children and Families will host an open house at its east Vancouver office next week for those interested in learning more about the social service agency primarily benefiting low-income families.

Those who attend can learn about preschool and child care enrollment as well as job, volunteer and training opportunities. Free child care will be available during the event. Also, Spanish and Russian interpreters will be on hand. The open house is noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday at 17800 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 150, Vancouver.

Programs at agency include Early Head Start, Early Childhood Education and Assistance, and HotShots Youth Sports programs — all provided at no cost to families in Southwest Washington.

To be eligible, families have to meet federal poverty guidelines or have a child with a documented disability.
