A disturbance during an Easter egg hunt Saturday evening in Salmon Creek led to the bust of a large-scale unlicensed pot operation, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 6 p.m., police were dispatched to investigate a report that the neighborhood Easter egg hunt had been interrupted by a man screaming that his roommates were going to shoot him, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. Police arrived in the area and learned that the disturbance was related to a marijuana distribution operation headquartered in a nearby home, at 13318 N.E. Second Court, police said.

“It is believed that deliveries were occurring across the United States” from that pot operation, the news release said.

Detectives with the Clark Vancouver Regional Drug Task Force obtained a search warrant for the home and four vehicles, and they found 45 pounds of processed marijuana, which has a street value of more than $202,000, police said. The pot was seized, along with five vehicles. Police also found more than $108,000 in suspected drug proceeds at the scene, they said. No guns were discovered.

Police said they also made three arrests: Charles J. Yorkovich, 24, of Vancouver on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; Joseph E. Sullivan, 24, of Vancouver on a felony drug warrant issued in Missouri; and Jordan M. Long, 27, of Vancouver on a felony drug warrant issued in Missouri. All three were booked into the Clark County Jail, the news release said.

The drug task force is investigating the case.
