The Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools’ 14th Annual Luncheon is set for 11:30 a.m. May 27 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 W. Sixth St. in Vancouver.

Fort Vancouver High School culinary arts students will cater the event, and other students will provide entertainment. Superintendent Steve Webb will be the speaker.

For 28 years, the foundation has paid for basic-need, mentoring, enrichment and early-education programs in the district’s 37 schools. More than half of the district’s 23,500 students qualify for free- or reduced-price meals, a federal indicator of poverty.

There is no fee to attend, but guest will be asked to make a donation. Luncheon reservations are due by Wednesday at www.FoundationforVPS.org/Registration or by calling 360-313-4730. Learn more at www.FoundationforVPS.org.
