La Center’s Jenna Melanson and Jeremy Scott were two-event winners at the 1A district track and field meet Thursday in Tumwater.
Melanson won the 1,600 meters (5:21.23) and 3,200 (11:15.87) in the girls meet. Other district champions included Kari Staples (100, 13.22) and Sarah Turcic (300 hurdles, 48.49) of King’s Way Christian, Elena Carrion (400, 1:01.47),
