Volunteers sought for knotweed survey event

The Clark Public Utilities StreamTeam is asking for volunteers to participate in knotweed population surveys in the Salmon Creek Greenway.

Volunteers will be trained to identify plants and use GPS technology to record where the weeds are located. Gloves and light refreshments will be provided.

Upcoming survey events are:

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4.

• 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 9.

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18.

• 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 23.
