Letter: Republican policies are toxic

By Don Anderson, BEAVERTON, ORE.

Donald Trump did not really win the election as much as out-of-touch Hillary Clinton lost by espousing outdated evasive critiques that did not register with the disposed uninformed Americans.

Clinton should have mentioned the toxic wasteland of the George W. Bush administration where the true weapon of mass destruction was incompetency. Due to the questionable George W. election, we are now, and have been, subjected to such deplorable events like 9/11, Islamic State, the 2008 recession, a disappearing middle class, war-torn Syria and Iraq, global warming denial, police state mentality, Wall Street on steroids, political stagnation, veteran neglect, educational and health care deficits, racial bias, and lastly, the zombie invasion of disillusioned and over-stimulated electronic subjects whose role models are overindulged Americans who believe that he who ends up with the most toys wins.

Unfortunately this Monopoly game attitude makes losers out of the rest of us. Mother Nature will, in the end, provide the last indictment on our gone-berserk society.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
