Girls basketball: Hockinson 57, Union 40

The Hockinson Hawks blitzed the Titans with 31 first-quarter points en route to a victory in their season debut.

Grace Russell had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Brittany McGuire had nine points and 10 boards for the Hawks.

Payton Wanger added seven points, eight assists, and five steals. Trinity Paulsen also had five steals.

Emily Takayoshi led Union with 13 points.
