Vancouver – Property developers applied to construct five more buildings at a North Image strip mall, more than doubling the commercial space already there, according to pre-application documents filed with the city of Vancouver.

Camas developers Lewallen Architecture LLC wrote plans for two new phases of construction at 11310 N.E. 49th St., the documents show. There are two buildings in the first phase and three buildings in the second. The additions total 28,120 square feet, adding to the preexisting 22,375 square feet there. Fifty-four additional parking spaces are planned.

City planners will discuss the project at a meeting Dec. 15. The meeting is not open to the public. Case manager Jon Wagner can be reached at 360-487-7885 or jon.wagner@cityofvancouver.us.
