Non-league football: Hoquiam 48, Hockinson 40

Despite 506 yards of passing from quarterback Canon Racanelli, Hockinson lost a high-scoring game against Hoquiam.

The Hawks were on top 20-6 at the half, then got the ball and scored to make it 26-6.

After that, Hoquiam rolled.

“We kind of quit playing, they didn’t, they came back and they got us,” said Hockinson coach Rick Steele.

Racanelli finished 25 for 51 passing with four touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 36 yards on eight carries. Gannon Kytola carried 10 times for 36 yards and a touchdown.

Sawyer Racanelli caught seven passes for 174 yards and two scores.

Nick Friehtl caught six passes for 99 yards, Devan Riggs got four for 119 yards and Payten Brammer also caught four for 61 yards.
