Vehicle goes over embankment near Moulton Falls

1 occupant taken to hospital; sheriff's office investigating crash

Emergency crews responded Saturday evening to a vehicle that had gone over an embankment near Moulton Falls Park, south of Yacolt. One occupant of the vehicle was taken to a hospital, according to Clark County Fire District 3.

The agency, along with Fire District 13 and North County Emergency Medical Services, were dispatched shortly after 7 p.m. to the crash on Northeast Lucia Falls Road, according to a press release.

Members of the fire districts stabilized the vehicle, which had stopped before going into the East Fork of the Lewis River, and helped remove the patient from the vehicle. North County EMS took the patient to a hospital for further evaluation.

More information about the patient was not immediately available.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office also responded to help with traffic control and to investigate the crash, according to Fire District 3.
