The Vancouver Police Department is looking for information on a suspect who reportedly pointed a gun at two people in parking lots on Fourth Plain Boulevard early Tuesday morning.

Around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to calls about two instances where a man in a dark-colored vehicle pointed a gun at two people.

In the first brandishing, according to police, the man pointed a gun at someone walking through a convenience store parking lot, in the 5600 block of Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard.

The victim ran, and the suspect followed in his vehicle until the victim was able to run back into the convenience store, the police said.

The suspect left, but a short time later, he approached a second victim in a nearby grocery store parking lot. He tried to rob the victim at gunpoint, but the victim was able to get away, according to the police.

The suspect left the area, but surveillance cameras were able to capture an image of the man, which investigators shared.

The department asked anyone with information on the case or who can identify the suspect to contact Detective Neil Martin at 360-487-7423.
