The two teams went into penalty kicks after a scoreless regulation and two 5-minute sudden-death overtimes before Gonzalez had two of his five saves in the shootout.

River improves to 9-0-1 overall, and also remains undefeated and in sole possession in the 2A GSHL at 6-0. Ridgefield falls to 5-3-2, 4-2-0 in league.
