Washougal — The newest piece of public art in Washougal will be dedicated at a ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Washougal Police Station, 1320 A St.

The piece, “Forever Faithful,” is a life-size bronze sculpture of a Belgian Malinois, a common breed of police service dog, which sits atop a basalt column just outside the station entrance. The dedication will be hosted by the Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance. Susan Bahary, who sculpted the piece, will be on hand to discuss creating the statue.
