Old Evergreen Highway — Columbia Springs received a $5,000 donation from NW Natural, which handed out more than $37,000 to six local nonprofits for their environmental stewardship. The grants were given by NW Natural’s shareholders as part of its Corporate Philanthropy Fund, through which the company gives nearly $1 million in support of families, education and the environment. Columbia Springs offers educational experiences in hopes of giving students a greater awareness of the natural world.
