Brooke Walling finished with 24 points and 18 boards to lead Prairie past Tumwater 70-22 on Monday night.

The Falcons opened up with a 22-5 advantage after a quarter and led by 34 at half.

“We’ve really been emphasizing pressure defense, and eliminating turnovers and we did that tonight,” Prairie coach Hala Corral said.

It was Prairie’s first game of the season.

“We’ve had three weeks of practice and this was our first game,” Corral said. “It was nice to get out there and going. Tonight they got to just go out and play.”

Haley Reed also had a double-double — 10 points and 12 rebounds — for the Falcons.
