Boys basketball: Hudson’s Bay 66, King’s Way Christian 63

Eric Ryapolov scored 19 points as the Eagles outlasted the Knights with a strong second half.

Demareya Gipson and Eli Hoover each added 15 points as Hudson’s Bay improved to 5-1.

King’s Way (1-4) forced eight turnovers in the second quarter to take a 33-28 lead into the half. The second half remained close the entire way.

“We just did a better job of taking care of the basketball,” Hudson’s Bay coach Theo Mikaele said.

Quadrese Teague had an offensive rebound off a missed free throw in the final seconds to prevent King’s Way from getting a shot to tie.

Khalfani Cason scored 20 points and Brady Metz added 13 for the Knights.
