Letter: A nickname for Donald

By Dolores Kahn, La Center

I know that many of our past presidents have been given nicknames by the American people: Honest Abe, Old Hickory, Tricky Dick, The Gipper.

I have a suggestion for a nickname for our soon-to-be president; a name that speaks of his personality, style and strengths.

Let’s not think about “President,” “Mister,” or “Comrade” Trump. Just call him “Tweetie Bird” — “Tweetie Bird” Trump.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
