Emma Fisk scored 15 points, but it was her rebounds that also were key in Columbia River’s crucial 2A Greater St. Helens League victory.

The Chieftains moved to 6-4 in league play, dropping the Hawks to 4-6 with two to play. Columbia River is in fourth place, and the top four teams advance to the postseason.

Fisk had 12 rebounds, including back-to-back offensive rebounds in the closing seconds off of missed free throws by teammates.

River, up by three at the time, was trying to make it a two-possession game.

One miss was grabbed by Fisk. Hockinson fouled. Another miss, another rebound by Fisk. This time, River made the free throw to get the breathing room.

Fisk scored seven of her points in the fourth quarter.

Kate Kraft had six points and 13 rebounds for River.

Brittany McGuire had 12 points for the Hawks. Payton Wangler and Grace Russell each scored eight for Hockinson, with Russell getting all of her eight in the fourth quarter.
