Officials have identified the man who died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday on Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard as Luis D. Vargas Garcia, 31, of Vancouver.
The man was struck in the 4200 block of Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard early Sunday. The Vancouver Police Department said the 35-year-old driver who hit him was obeying the speed limit, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said the investigation was continuing and no citations had been issued as of Thursday afternoon.
