Camas — The Union High School unified soccer team was selected to represent Special Olympics Washington at the Special Olympics Cascadia Championship Series, a two-day event last month in Portland. As part of the series, the team participated in opening ceremonies with Timber Joey, five-on-five soccer matches, post-game awards, free youth soccer clinics featuring former Timbers player Jack Jewsbury and a shopping experience at the Adidas employee store. They also received tickets to see the Seattle Sounders take on the Portland Timbers, which included a meet-and-greet with players after the game.
