The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying two men suspected of robbing two convenience stores May 26, and released images taken from surveillance video of the suspects.

Around 5 a.m., two men robbed the EZ Mart at 9511 N.E. 76th St. at gunpoint, according to the sheriff’s office.

Based on images taken from surveillance footage, deputies concluded the two were the same suspects as those in a robbery reported to the Vancouver Police Department about two hours earlier.

Officers were called to a convenience store at the Shell gas station, 16320 S.E. Cascade Park Drive, shortly before 3 a.m.

In that robbery, two men reportedly entered the store then engaged the cashier in conversation. One of the men then grabbed at and punched the cashier in the face, according to the police department, and the other pointed a gun at the cashier.

The sheriff’s office described one suspect as a 6-foot-tall white man with a thin build, shoulder-length brown hair and slight facial hair. He wore a red T-shirt and black pants and wielded a black pistol in his right hand.

The second suspect was described as a 5 foot 9 inch Hispanic man with a shaved head, medium build and clean-shaven face. He wore a denim vest over a black hooded sweatshirt, with red lettering on the sleeves, and khaki shorts.

The sheriff’s office asked anyone with information on the robberies or the suspects’ identities to contact Detective Andrew Kennison at 360-989-7803.
