An inmate was hospitalized following an incident at the Clark County Jail Wednesday afternoon.

Medics and an ambulance were called to the jail, 707 W. 13th St., around 3 p.m. for a reported hanging, according to emergency dispatch logs.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Fred Neiman said he didn’t have more details, but confirmed an inmate was injured and taken to the hospital.

That inmate’s condition was not available, and Neiman said the sheriff’s office was investigating. Nieman did not identify the inmate.
