1. Green sprouts

Dress in your best green outfit for St. Paddy’s for Kids, a spring-themed activity fair for children and families. Hosted by Parks Foundation of Clark County, there will be hands-on stations named after towns in Ireland, arts and crafts and Irish dance performances, along with face painting and storytime, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 11 at the Luepke Senior Center, 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd., Vancouver. Children who complete the activities passport will receive a prize. www.parksfoundation.us/about/events

2. Lego mania

Bricks Cascade is a celebration of all things LEGO for all ages. The public exposition showcases creations from adult and young fans alike from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 11-12. Lego creations range from towns to spaceships, robotics to artistic sculptures. There will be brick vendors, custom and official sets, a children’s building area and more at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Portland. Admission is $10, with $36 for family pack and free for ages 3 and younger. The public event is part of the larger private builder’s convention. www.brickscascade.com

3. En pointe

Join Columbia Dance for its annual spring performance “Columbia Dance Presents!” It features new works, a variety of dance genres and guest artists, along with a classical ballet excerpt from “Don Quixote.” Performances begin at 7 p.m. March 10 and 2 and 7 p.m. March 11 at Royal Durst Theatre, Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, 3101 Main St., Vancouver. 4. Island music

The Ke Kukui Foundation presents the fourth annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival at 1 p.m. March 11 at the Alberta Rose Theatre, 3000 N.E. Alberta St, Portland. The festival will feature performers specializing in the classical guitar genre of Hawaii, including guitarists LT Smooth, Bobby Moderow, Stephen Inglis, Blayne Asing and Bill Keale. Harry B. 5. Arias for all

The award-winning Clark College Orchestra, under the direction of Donald Appert, will present its winter concert “Lyric Sweets” at 7:30 p.m. March 15 at the Royal Durst Theatre, 3101 Main St., Vancouver. The orchestra will be joined by Australian opera singer David Wakeham, who will perform arias by Wagner and Verdi. The orchestra will also perform music by Dvor?k and Rachmaninoff.
