Nominees for Week 9 fall prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Nov. 4.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

EMMA COX, MOUNTAIN VIEW GIRLS SOCCER: Cox had goal and assist as the Thunder beat Lakes to clinch a state tournament berth.

HANNA EHA, SKYVIEW SWIMMING: Eha won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke at the 4A bi-district meet.

KATIE KOGLER, FIRM FOUNDATION VOLLEYBALL: The freshman had 61 kills, 14 aces and 13 blocks in four matches as Firm Foundation clinched its first berth to the state tournament in school history.

DANIEL MATON, CAMAS BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Maton placed second in the 4A state meet, narrowly missing out on the state title.

AMELIA PULLEN, WASHOUGAL GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Pullen placed third overall in the Class 2A race at the state meet.
