One person was shot in the leg near Vancouver Mall Tuesday night, police said.
Police and ambulance crews were called to 7808 N.E. 51st St., shortly before 8 p.m., for a call of an assault with a weapon and a gunshot wound, according to emergency dispatch logs.
Officers arrived at the location, near the VanMall retirement community, soon after.
The Vancouver Police Department said officers located a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim, who was not identified, was transported to a hospital.
The department said no suspects had yet been found that night, and the investigation was ongoing.
