Letter: Bocanegra is proven leader

By John Archer, Vancouver

Re-electing Julie Bocanegra as Evergreen Public Schools school director just makes sense. As the incumbent, since 2012, she’s offered consistent, values-driven leadership to the board and the communities and students it serves. For nearly two decades Bocanegra has put herself in positions to foster opportunities for youth. Whether as a sports coach, league administrator or on the school board, her driving force has built stronger communities by advocating education and opportunities for children. Her sound fiscal management style, and focus on what’s important to parents and children, make Bocanegra the right choice for Evergreen schools director on Nov. 7.
