Shred documents at free event Sept. 30 at transit center

C-Tran and Waste Connections are hosting a free document shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 30 at Fisher’s Landing Transit Center, 3510 S.E. 164th Ave., Vancouver.

Anyone is invited to bring two boxes or bags of paper to be safely shredded.

C-Tran will also be accepting donations for Share Vancouver, an organization that supports the homeless and needy in the city. Items such as peanut butter in plastic jars, laundry detergent, soap, children’s clothing, men’s underwear and plus-size women’s clothes are particularly needed.
