Bicyclist struck, killed by vehicle in Sifton neighborhood

A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in Vancouver’s Sifton neighborhood, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was reported at 12:15 a.m. in the 12200 block of Northeast 76th Street. Deputies arriving on scene performed CPR on the cyclist before EMS personnel arrived and pronounced the rider dead, a bulletin from the sheriff’s office said.

The driver was not injured.

The name of the cyclist and the driver, both described as adults, were not released early Wednesday.

Further details on the crash were not released.

Detectives with the Clark County Traffic Unit responded and will continue with the investigation.
