Fairway-164th Avenue — Jennifer Short, health and fitness director for Touchmark Health & Fitness Club, was looking to change her Pilates class, and she knew just how to do it: puppies. “Puppies are so warm and cuddly, and their weight is a perfect complement to a Pilates workout, so I organized a Puppies Pilates class,” Short wrote in an email. Besides teaching, Short also volunteers as a 4-H dog project leader. The Touchmark Health & Fitness Club specializes in fitness for older adults, and membership is open to those 50 and older.
