Shoppers donate $20,000 to Meals on Wheels

Clark County — Shoppers at 13 Safeway and Albertsons locations around Clark County donated $20,106 to Meals on Wheels during Donate Dinners April 5-7. Residents could donate $5.95, the cost of one meal, or any amount at checkout. A donation of $41.65 covered the cost of a week of meals. Volunteers, including some Vancouver city councilors, took shifts at the stores helping to collect donations. Meals on Wheels delivers low-cost meals to homebound seniors.
