One person was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening following a shooting on Caples Avenue off Fourth Plain Boulevard on Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to a house in the 2900 block of Caples Avenue in the Bagley Downs neighborhood around 1:15 p.m. for a report of a drive-by shooting, then set up a search perimeter around the area.
BATTLE GROUND — It’s another “no” from Battle Ground Public Schools voters as the district, for the third time since 2016, failed Tuesday to pick up enough votes to approve a school facilities bond.
First returns showed the $224.9 million bond measure failing with about 52.1 percent support, 7.9 percent below the 60 percent supermajority required to approve school bonds. Turnout hovered at 36.1 percent, though more ballots will be counted over the coming days.

Four teenagers who were hospitalized Friday morning after overdosing on drugs had taken Xanax and marijuana, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
Three of the teens were discovered unconscious outside in an east Vancouver neighborhood, prompting the sheriff’s office to investigate. A fourth teenager showing signs of an overdose was taken to a local hospital by a parent.
A certified behavior technician at a local autism therapy center for children and young adults appeared Wednesday in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of possessing child pornography.
Sean T. Saito, 24, of Vancouver is facing 10 counts of first-degree possessing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
