Letter: Agenda is boldly offensive

Be bold, elect Republicans? Maybe 40 or more years ago! These days, electing Republicans is a vote for: corporate profits over a healthy environment; rolling back voting rights; big government for women’s bodies and reproductive health; rolling back workers’ rights; destroying public education; and denying American families quality, affordable, single-payer health care as a human right (which is supported by over 60 percent of Americans). Oh, and don’t forget it’s also a vote for the wonderful family values of racism, sexism, xenophobia, white supremacy and state-sanctioned child abduction! Bold? That’s not quite what I would call it.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
