A Vancouver woman was hurt and hospitalized following a single-car rollover crash on state Highway 14 onto Interstate 205 in Vancouver Sunday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Damen J. Kuhlman, 33, of Richland, was driving west on Highway 14 onto the ramp to northbound Interstate 205 shortly before 4 p.m.

Troopers said he lost control in the curve and went off the right side of the road, causing the car to roll.

The car, a BMW 3-series sedan, came to a stop on its wheels in the right shoulder.

Kuhlman was unhurt, the state patrol said. A passenger, Lynnell R. Rush, 35, of Vancouver, was brought to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for her injuries. Her condition was unavailable.

An 8-year-old girl riding with them was also taken to the hospital, trooper said, but was unhurt.

The state patrol said excessive speed caused the crash, and the crash was referred to prosecutors for possible charges.

Troopers said everyone in the car wore the proper restraints.

Update 8/14/2018: The prosecuting attorney’s office declined to level any charges in the crash.
