It wasn’t fun early to watch, but in the end, Hawks coach Damon Roche looks back on his team’s win and sees nothing but fun.

“It was a fun game to coach,” the coach said, “because the kids didn’t hang their heads.”

Especially not after a scoreless first quarter and trailing by as much as 16-0 before getting their first points in the second quarter.

After that, Hockinson cruised against a team Roche described as the most aggressive the Hawks have seen all season. Emma Dietel led a balanced scoring effort with 20 points.
