The Hawks gave the reigning Oregon 5A state champions a challenge at the Oregon Hoopfest in Bend.

Hockinson (4-3) trailed by 16 points in the third quarter. But Jasmine Shigeno scored 11 of her 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Hawks outscored their opponents from Eugene 20-10 to make for a close finish.

Emma Dietel had 13 points and six rebounds for Hockinson, which continues tournament play against South Eugene on Friday.
