Boys basketball: Ridgefield 52, Hockinson 35

Kellen Bringhurst and Cameron Short each had 11 points for the Spudders, who picked up their first 2A Greater St. Helens League victory by holding the Hawks to a season low in points.

Spudders coach Jason Buffum credited Tim Radosevich’s defensive effort’s on the sophomore, who came off a career night in Wednesday’s win over Washougal hitting a career-best eight 3-pointers.

Paulsen was held to fourpoints on one 2-point field goal and two free throws.

“We knew we had to contain him, and do our best not to let him catch and shoot,” Buffum said.

Radosevich also finished with nine points.

Peyton Brammer led Hockinson with 14 points.
