Letter: Support Long for Congress

By David Bennett, Vancouver
Published: January 8, 2018, 6:00am

We have a dishonest and out-of-control president. The latest example is President Trump’s taunting tweet directed to North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jong Un, threatening the use of nuclear weapons. Our current member of Congress, Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, appears to accept this outrageous behavior. Fortunately we can change this in November by electing Carolyn Long to the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a no-nonsense, middle-of-the-road Democrat with working-class roots.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
