Clark County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, assaulted her father, then carjacked a vehicle, injuring the driver.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the Bridge Creek Apartments, 9211 N.E. 15th Ave., for a call about a disturbance with a weapon at 3:20 p.m.

A 24-year-old man had stabbed his girlfriend and assaulted her father inside one of the units at the Hazel Dell apartment complex, the sheriff’s office said.

The man tried to flee by carjacking an occupied vehicle, injuring the driver as she tried to get out of the vehicle and get away.

The suspect then crashed into a field across the street from the apartments, the sheriff’s office said. He headed back to the complex and entered another vehicle, at which point deputies caught up with him.

The man fought with deputies as he was taken into custody, and was eventually transported to the county jail. The three victims were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

The county major crimes unit was investigating, and the sheriff’s office did not identify the suspects or victims.
